Using Your Domain Name To Create More Business Products

The internet is a source of income within itself if you know what avenues to go down in order to generate the interest. Most companies nowadays have their own websites which offer information around the globe on what they offer. Whilst you may already be expanding due to this type of advertising would it not make sense to utilize this space to the best potential you can get from it? There are a few extra business opportunities that can bring in some extra cash for you and your business.

Examples of Business Opportunities Online

More often than not you will be using an Internet Service Provider to host your websites. It also means that the domain name that is used is not yours, it will be one assigned to you which promotes their name and not your. Normally if this service is provided free it also means that all advertising that is placed on your website is generating profits for your provider and not for you. This is just one of the many ways that you can use your domain name to attract business and generate income from various avenues globally.

There are companies who will provide you with the guidance to getting your website recognized and utilize your domain name to attract more business your way, making you stand out amongst the competition. They will research you and your website and find the pieces of information that stand out that will attract interest in your clients from amongst the rest of the competition that will get returned from online web searches.

Another way of ensuring added exposure of your business is by targeting your advertising spaces. In this way you will be linked with products and services that are in direct relation to what you are doing. This means that users who search for your type of product may be directed to you for that little something extra that they may require after their purchases. This is why your domain name is important in its clarity and simpleness.

Many companies may not realize that they need to register their domain names with the big search engine companies in order for them to get picked up in user searches. Search engine companies will list your domain name on their server and use specialized software to scan your site for word combinations that may be entered into a search engine. In this way you are ensured of being turned up in an online search, exposing you to literally millions of users the world over.

Email is a virtually free form of advertising. It is easy to gather peoples email addresses from those who wish to receive further information on your product. These can be from existing clients, online users who may subscribe to your email news letters; however it is important that when you use this sort of advertising you are not breaking the laws by encroaching on peoples privacy rights. This could get you and your company into some serious trouble and incur hefty penalties and even law suits against you.

Using these types of online opportunities means utilizing your web space to its full capacity. It is also a relatively cheap way of exposing your name to the international market without having to launch into expensive ad campaigns around the world. There are many opportunities for you to use your domain name as an extra business opportunity and all the research information is readily available online. Become a part of the ever growing popularity of online marketing and expand your business globally.

Create Long-Lasting Wealth with Simple Home Business Solutions

Starting your own home business might seem overwhelming at first. There's so much to consider - finances, goals, and the type of business you should start. As a new home business owner, you can easily get frustrated with all the options that are available. Don't complicate matters. There are many simple home business solutions available that can help you create long-lasting wealth without adding stress to your life. Here are some great ideas to get you started.

"Don't Reinvent the Wheel"

You've probably heard the old saying, "Don't reinvent the wheel." Most frustration in business comes from trying to create something new - a new product, new service, or even a new way of doing things. The good news is you don't have to create anything new. With an online business, it's very easy to sign up with others and sell their products for a commission. Most companies are glad to pay you to promote their products. It saves them time and money.

There are millions of products and services online that are just "itching" for more promotion. You can easily find products that interest you and make money online while doing what you love. These products have already been through their testing period so you get to enjoy the benefits as you work from home.

Earn a Residual Income

With some companies, you can earn a residual income (month after month) when signing on new clients. Those in the business of Web education, Internet marketing, Web design services, medical billing and claims, insurance, travel booking, legal services, accounting, and financial investments will often pay you for monthly clients.

You'll earn money each month that the client remains faithful in payments. In other words, you could earn up to 20 percent or more of a client's payment every month! Multiply that number by a hundred and you will have a very lucrative residual income.

Choose High-Commission Products and Services

Don't waste your valuable time promoting products and services that pay very little in commissions. Seek out home business solutions where you can earn a generous commission amount for each sale.

When promoting products for someone else, the visitor/conversion ratio will likely be much lower than it would be when selling your own products. So, you'll have to work a little harder to get more visitors to your website. When you do sell a product, it will be much more rewarding if you make $100 or more instead of $10 or more!

Simplify Your Business Promotions

Another area of frustration for a home business owner is promotion. There are many ways to promote an online business, but usually only a few actually work for the long term. The first thing to do is create a website of your own that you can tweak and add content to on a daily basis. From your website, offer tips and plenty of fresh content about the products and services you offer. Find your target audience and write to them. Give them the information they're seeking before you try to sell them a product.

With some home business solutions, you can receive your own website free. But, be sure it will be your own website, and that you can add to it whenever you want. Being unique with your website is very important for receiving search engine exposure.

Also, beware of scams. Check out online companies before investing any money. Use dependable home business solution directories that will investigate home businesses for you. This will save you time and money. And remember, whatever you do, keep it simple!

How To Create A Successful Home Business

The Internet is full of ways to create a foolproof home business that makes you rich quickly and easily. I’m here to tell you that these offers are mere fallacies. There is no home business that is quick and easy and will instantly triple your income. Home businesses are hard work and require time, dedication and perseverance. But they are possible, and have the potential of making you a lot of money and keeping you at home where you belong.

While I can’t and won’t tell you which home business will work for you, I can give you suggestions for how to make your home business work.

DEDICATE YOURSELF TO YOUR HOME BUSINESS

Your devotion to your home business venture can never waver. It must come before all other financial opportunities. This is not to say that you have to quit your job in order to launch a home business. That would be a bad idea, at least until your home business is providing a steady stream of income. However, leave your job at work. Your home is the place for your home business, and you should try to keep your home free of other financial distractions.

Work on your home business whenever you possibly can. Dedicate every free moment you have to advancing your business. Spend time each and every day, including holidays, to furthering your home business, even if you just write down an idea or make a single contact. If you can meet one contact every day, then by the end of your first year, you’ll have 365. Dedicate yourself to your home business and your chances of success will improve drastically.

ESTABLISH GOALS AND A PLAN BEFORE YOU START A HOME BUSINESS

Starting a home business without a plan is like trying to sail from New York to India without a compass, map, or the stars. You might get there, but it would only be a matter of dumb luck. Never be content to rely on Luck. Think about your home business, what you want to achieve with it, and where you want it to be 5, 10, 15 years down the road. Establish goals, timelines, and marketing plans before you begin anything. These will be the blueprints that you use to build your home business.

TAKE ADVANTAGE OF EVERY OPPORTUNITY

While you need to have a well-thought out plan before you begin a home business, do not be afraid to deviate from it if an unforeseen opportunity pops up. You should never rely on Luck, bet never ignore Luck when she is offering you her hand. Businesses are built on taking advantage of opportunities. Don’t be afraid to throw those blueprints that you made to the wind if something better should come along. Home businesses have to be flexible, because we live in an ever-changing world.

REMEMBER YOUR FAMILY

If you don’t have a family, don’t neglect your friends. You can’t be successful without support from other people. If you husband or wife is not behind you and your home business, then your chances of success plummet. You will be distracted by their anger and hurt feelings, and will not be able to dedicate your free time to your home business, because you will be thinking about your family. You have to come out of the working world eventually, and when you do, you need to have someone there to be your companion. Not only that, but your friends and family can be useful allies in the creation of a home business. No one can do everything alone, and the people around you are natural, and usually willing, resources. Never forget about the ones that you love.

How To Create A "Unique Selling Proposition" For Your Home Based Business!

No matter what type of business you are running (or plan to build) you will likely have competition. Most people think competition is a bad thing – and if you try to take on your competition “head on” it probably is.

On the other hand, you can use your competition to learn how to service customers in a different way – a “unique” way – that can make you very successful!

How Can You Make Your Business Unique"

For example, selling home videos. DVD’s, and electronic games is nothing new. And unfortunately for most “mom-and-pop” video stores, Blockbuster came along, and put most of them out of business.

So why bother even trying to sell videos and DVD’s, right? Well, it depends.

Opening another video store would probably be difficult – having the ability to order 20-30 copies of all the popular videos would probably be too costly for most people.

But NetFlix didn’t look at competing directly with Blockbuster. The owners decided to rent the same products, but in a completely different way – online and through the mail.

That’s an example of a Unique Selling Proposition!

How can you create a USP (Unique Selling Proposition) for your business?

Answer the following 5 questions:

1. What does your business sell, and who do you sell it to?
2. What benefits (not products or services) does your business offer to your customers?
3. What does your business do best?
4. What part of your business needs the most improvement?
5. What do you offer that you do better –or different – than your competitors?

If you need help coming up with ideas for the last one – which is the most important question to answer – go out and “shop” your competition:

• read their ads
• check the yellow pages
• do a search online and compare websites
• buy a product (or ask a friend or family member, if possible)
• join a small business association

Then, narrow down your USP into one or two sentences, and do it – with every letter you write, every ad you place, every customer you serve, every plan you make – and include your Unique Selling Proposition.

If you can make your business different from the rest – and stand out above the competition – you’ll be well on your way to success!

Create Unlimited Cash with Your Travel Business

Travel in the United States and to other parts of the world is growing by leaps and bounds. It's easier than ever to travel by plane, cruise ship, bus, or car, and many people are taking advantage of modern-day travel conveniences.

Unfortunately, this $8.5 trillion industry is not without fault. Fuel costs and other factors have taken a toll on travel prices, but can actually benefit your business. If you're already in the travel business or thinking of starting a travel venture, now may be the best time ever to cash in on what seems to be a disadvantage to many travelers. Since everyone loves travel (even when it is expensive), you can create unlimited cash while helping others take their dream vacation for fewer dollars.

Unlimited Travel Opportunities

If you've always loved to travel and want to help others plan their vacations, there are unlimited travel opportunities to help you start a travel business. With a travel business, you not only create unlimited cash for your own income, but you can also plan unlimited vacations of your own with a tremendous discount. Then, you can use your own travel experiences to help others find the perfect vacation. You can also offer the discounts to your family and friends.

With some travel business models, you can sign on to be a travel representative (not an agent) and offer the travel packages at a discount with huge commissions paid out directly to you. And the real advantage of these types of opportunities is you can usually sign others up to sell travel packages as well. You will receive instant profits when they sign on as well as when they sell vacation packages to others. It's a great way to travel to exotic places while earning unlimited cash through your very own travel business.

How to Sell Travel Packages

There are a number of ways to realize your dreams with a travel business. You can use the Web, magazines, or classifieds to target niche markets in the travel industry. For example, target people who want to visit a certain country or city. You can target families or honeymooners. You can target business travelers. With a website, you can add unlimited travel articles to your website to attract readers who are interested in visiting certain places around the world. You can also create a travel newsletter or e-zine to capture the e-mails of your site visitors. The travel industry is broad, so the more targeted your marketing efforts, the faster your business will grow.

How to Offer the Opportunity to Others

You'd be surprised at how many people would love to start a travel business, but don't know how or where to start. Once you gain some experience in your travel business, you'll be able to offer tips and helpful resources for others who want to do the same. Also, don't ignore those who are seeking "any" business opportunity. Many people want to work from home, but aren't sure what type of business to try. You can educate them about starting a travel business, and build their confidence to try it out. Be a motivator and a helper, and you'll soon see tremendous results!

Each time you travel, write down key points and attractions of the places you visit. Offer articles about first-hand travel experiences on your website along with photos. Detail how much the total trip cost (with your company's discount) and the fun things you did while there. Putting together travel editorials such as these can become your own personal testimonial to those who are considering the opportunity.

When you sign on for a travel business opportunity, be sure to consider the amount of commission being offered, how much you will need to invest to get started, and how easy it will be to promote the business. Can you promote the business online? Does the company provide a website for you? Can you add content and photos to your website for your own marketing efforts? Does the company offer unlimited vacations at discounted prices? These are key factors in earning unlimited cash while doing something you enjoy!

Do Definitions Tell You How To Create A Better Business?

When talking to people about what they think is involved in marketing, CRM, ecommerce, direct marketing, web development, web design and graphic design it is quite clear that most people have a confused and jumbled view about what they all are, what they cover, which is most important and which is easiest to understand.

It is nearly always the case that someone understands what is meant by graphic design – not a surprise, perhaps, as it has been around the longest and has it’s roots in “old technology”. Not only that research has shown that only 7 to 11% of all communication is verbal, the rest being non-verbal as messages can be communicated through “graphical” factors such as gesture; body language or posture; facial expression and eye gaze, clothing, hairstyles, architecture, symbols and graphics. So definitely not a surprise – we are very visual.

It is nearly always the case that people also believe they understand what is meant by web design – though many people blur it with web development. Again, probably not surprising, but, actually, probably not helpful either. Why not? Because if you don’t have a real ‘definition’ for something (definition = clarity and differentiation from other concepts) then you don’t know what you are buying. And, guess what, if you don’t know what you are buying you can be “ripped off”.

So we thought we would be boringly helpful and using Wikipedia and a range of other sources definitions (only so we are not accused of slanting the evidence) try to explain what marketing, CRM, ecommerce, direct marketing, web development, web design and graphic design really are.

We also thought we’d arrange them in what we regard as their order of importance to the success of your business – which is pretty much in reverse order to most people’s understanding of what they are and see if anyone can be bothered to read what could be “possibly the most boring and convoluted article ever” and challenge these views.

1. MARKETING: The most widely accepted definition of marketing on a global scale comes from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) in the UK which is the largest marketing body in the world in terms of membership. The definition claims marketing to be the "management process of anticipating, identifying and satisfying customer requirements profitably". Thus, operative marketing involves the processes of market research, new product development, product life cycle management, pricing, channel management as well as promotion……… It is one of the company's management tools to ensure that products and services are developed according to market requirements, and that they are profitable.

2. CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT (CRM) includes the methodologies, technology and capabilities that help an enterprise manage customer relationships. The general purpose of CRM is to enable organizations to better manage their customers through the introduction of reliable systems, processes and procedures. Customer Relationship Management is a corporate level strategy which focuses on creating and maintaining lasting relationships with its customers. Although there are several commercial CRM software packages on the market which support CRM strategy, it is not a technology itself, rather, an holistic change in an organization's philosophy which places emphasis on the customer………. A successful CRM strategy cannot be implemented by simply installing and integrating a software package and will not happen over night. Changes must occur at all levels including policies and processes, front of house customer service, employee training, marketing, systems and information management; all aspects of the business must be reshaped to be customer driven.

3. ELECTRONIC COMMERCE, EC, e-commerce or ecommerce consists primarily of the distributing, buying, selling, marketing, and servicing of products or services over electronic systems such as the Internet and other computer networks.......... It can involve electronic funds transfer, supply chain management, e-marketing, online marketing, online transaction processing, electronic data interchange, automated inventory management systems, and automated data-collection systems. It typically uses electronic communications technology such as the Internet, extranets, e-mail, ebooks, databases, and mobile phones………. Internet marketing is a component of electronic commerce. Internet marketing can include information management, public relations, customer service, and sales.

4. DIRECT MARKETING is a discipline within marketing that involves the planned recording, analysis and tracking of individual customers' (business-to-business or consumer) responses and transactions for the purpose of developing and prolonging mutually profitable customer relationships………. DM uses non-addressable media as well as addressable ones. The important thing is that it seeks a response and it is this which the recipient, usually a marketer, bases their future actions, or contact strategy, on. In fact all DM is done through media, it's just that many, e.g. email, telemarketing, SMS, are "addressable". It usually is not taken to include face-to-face contact. Direct marketing is attractive to many marketers, because in many cases its effectiveness can be measured directly.

5. WEB DEVELOPMENT incorporates all areas of creating a web site for the World Wide Web. This includes web design (graphic design, XHTML, CSS, usability and semantics), programming, server administration, content management, marketing, testing and deployment. The term also refers to the "back end", that is, programming and server administration. There is usually more than one member that works on a given development team, each specialising in his or her own field. A web developer typically has more database, cgi, and engineering experience and develops the interface between the front and back end, undertaking programming tasks for a web site. This can include e-commerce applications or implementing a site search tool, for example.

6. WEB DESIGN is the design of web pages, websites and web applications using HTML, CSS and images. A web designer designs web pages. Usually a designer will produce a mock-up of a page in a graphics application (for example, Adobe Photoshop). Once you have approved the design, a designer can produce an HTML template, CSS files and all of the images needed to produce the web site.

7. GRAPHIC DESIGN is the applied art of arranging image and text to communicate a message. You can apply it in any media, such as print, digital media, motion pictures, animation, product decoration, packaging, and signs.

How to Create an Advertisement to Promote Your Cleaning Business

you may not be a marketing guru, advertising can get your cleaning company noticed by potential customers. But before you spend any of your advertising dollars, decide on your target market. Finding your particular niche and directing your ad dollars to that area will be the most effective way to get clients calling and asking about your services and hopefully signing on as new customers.

Start by setting an advertising budget. A general rule of thumb is to dedicate two to five percent of your expected gross sales to advertising. If you are expecting $150,000 in gross sales, set aside $3000 to $7500 for advertising. If you are just starting your cleaning business this may not be enough. You may need to spend more money running ads announcing your business so your potential clients know a new cleaning service is in town.

Once you set your budget, decide where to advertise. For a cleaning business it makes no sense and would be a waste of your money to advertise in a large magazine or buy a TV commercial that airs on a Saturday night. Besides being expensive, these ads will most likely not reach your target audience.

The common print ad, run in your local newspaper or shopper, is the most basic unit of advertising. Print ads have launched major companies and many successful products. Running ads in a local paper can also be a great way to promote your cleaning business if you follow a few basic rules.

- Your ad should attract attention! Although this sounds obvious, unless your ad attracts attention you are throwing your money down the drain. The most compelling way to have a "noticeable" ad is to have an interesting and visually appealing headline. If you are designing a large ad, think of using a subhead. This will provide added information and can be longer than the headline.

- Your ad should address the reader's needs or announce news. Tell how your cleaning service will benefit your readers and if possible announce a new product or service such as announcing a new carpet cleaning system that makes your carpets cleaner and your office building healthier.

- Your ad should communicate your company's unique selling proposition. Or why should the potential customer pick your business to supply cleaning services rather than ABC Cleaning?

- Your ad should tell why your cleaning company is the best in the area. The most convincing way to do this is through testimonials, statistics and awards.

- Your ad should motivate your readers to take action. One way to achieve this is to include a special offer. Offers that work well are discounts and bonuses (get your carpets cleaned and get a free bottle of spotting fluid).

One of the main reasons people don't read ads is that they do not have a great headline or a visual element that attracts readers. Headlines that work best are those that promise readers a benefit. Flip through a newspaper or magazine and notice the headlines that attract your attention - Save on Closing Costs, Your Dreams Can Become Reality, Get More Miles to the Gallon. Advertising experts suggest using the following words to arouse interest: New, Now, At Last, Warning, Introducing, Easy, Health, Save, Safety, Free, Money or Advice.

Although you may want to use your business' name in your headline that is not recommended and is one of the common mistakes that small businesses make. Your business' name does not have anything compelling to offer a potential customer. Remember, your headline should address the needs of your customers and not your ego.

Making your ad stand out can be challenge. Scan your local papers and take notice of what ads stand out - are they ads with reverse (white on dark background) print, color ads, ads that look like they were hand drawn? People notice ads that have illustrations or photographs that show products or ads that have people in them.

Before advertising in any medium call and ask for a media kit. This kit will contain rate information as well as demographic information about the publication (or radio station). The demographic information should include reader's (or listener's) age, income, and other statistics that will indicate if this is a good medium to run your ads in to reach your target audience.

If you are a member of your local chamber there will be opportunities in chamber newsletters, member guides and perhaps even on their website. Local newspapers are good venues as most businesses either subscribe or read regularly so they can keep informed of what's going on in the local community.

Print advertising is one way to get your cleaning business' name out in front of potential clients as well as reminding your current clients of the services you provide. Advertising is salesmanship and the more information you can give about your services, the more interest you will create. Always remember to include a call to action in your ad - tell them how to buy your product or service! Also include as many ways as possible for the reader to contact you: phone, e-mail, website, and physical address. Running the right ads will get your phone ringing and your checkbook balance growing!

Create A Business Card That Sells and is Effective

Business card is a powerful piece of card handed out to your clients or given to you by someone which has all that information in such a small space. Business cards are an important part of any business and that gives a first impression of your business to anyone. So customize the card in such a way to make a good impression about it to others.

Create a business card that conveys a sense that you are by your name, name of the business, description of your business and other contact information so that they remember you.

Design steps of a effective business card:- First of all you should be aware of what would you like to have on the business card to convey others about you. You want to focus on the identity of your business right. So you need your name, business logo, email ID, web & postal address and finally the telephone no on it.

Second step is the look of the card – Go around with the cards in your collection which was handed over to you by your friends, relative, clients even strangers and have a good idea which impress you the most. I don’t say to clone it or borrow their idea but keep in mind which one stand out and which concept will suit you best.

The third and final step is the style – once you got an idea what you want. Work on the style of your business card for example if you are running a funeral home and having flashy picture on your card it won’t convey a good impression. The basic example is to have a simple designed one with information about you and your business is clear and prominent.

Your business card should have the same color and design of what you have on your other marketing materials like, brochure, stationery website. Utilize the space of your card cleverly and display your information which is essential and not any unwanted information which send out a wrong message.

A business card can do more than to improve your business it can also serve as a reminder of an appointment also a direction to your work place. So the key to a successful business card design is sensible design and what you convey on the card.

Problem - We are eating a lot more then we should. Opportunity - exercise classes, weight loss diets, larger size clothes & diet drinks / foods.

Think of traffic, then think of bottlenecks! Problem - a lot of people stuck in traffic. Opportunity - Billboard advertising & more demand for entertainment on the move!

Problem - people are drinking more. Opportunity - diet drinks, drink dispensers, low calorie alcoholic drinks, vitamins, more fun drinks & definitely more counselling!

In our previous business, we had a problem when we were manufacturing specialised, shock absorbing pallets. We always many pieces of a certain size of wood left. I sent our salesman round local businesses to see if he could find a use for it. In the end we ended up making "button-ups" which had a 100% profit margin after expenses for pieces of wood which we used to throw away!

Problem - Higher number of asylum seekers & refugees. Opportunity - low cost housing, lower paid labour force and increased demand for economy products!

Problem - More spam! Opportunity - more demand for new software, better firewalls & more experts needed!

Create A Photography Business Checklist To Help Start Your Dream Business

Vision Business Concepts Inc

If you’ve been thinking of starting your own business for some time now, the easiest way to get started is to begin with a photography business checklist. This list will provide you with the details of what it takes to get started, and give you a something that makes the tasks seem more doable.

So, if you’re ready to move forward in photography, where do you start? What are the most important steps to consider when starting a photography business?

1. Start by defining the type of photography you choose to offer your clients. Everyone has a different reason for becoming involved in photography. Some love working with babies and children. Some prefer working on location with families and pets. Some love commercial work, and making products come alive. Some find passion in creating wedding photography.

While many photographers choose multiple specialties, keep in mind that any one of these can make a lucrative career. The more passion you have in your chosen line of photography, the easier it is to promote your work, and get known within your specialty.

2. Establish your business identity. Once you decide on your specialty, use that specialty to identify your name and your brand. While some photography studios are named after the business owner, others use a more generic name.

A name is a personal choice. But above all, make sure your name speaks to your desired clientele.

3. Decide what resources you need for your business. Do you need a commercial location for a studio? Will you work out of your home? What type of camera equipment will you need? While a start-up business shouldn’t invest in extravagant equipment, you should purchase enough equipment to sufficiently do your job, and to have backup equipment available at all sessions.

4. Decide what vendors you will be using for your business. A photography studio needs a variety of services, including a professional photography lab, album companies, framing companies, office supplies, and production supplies.

An easy way to find many of these vendors is to attend a photography expo. There are many local, regional, national and international expos available to the professional photographer, including Professional Photographers of America, and Wedding & Portrait Photographers International. And sign up for newsletters at places like VirtualPhotographyStudio.com to stay on top of some of the newest and most exciting trends.

5. Join professional organizations to network with like-minded individuals. There are a variety of professional photographer organizations. It’s also important to join organizations in your community, such as entrepreneur groups, networking groups, and chamber of commerce’s. All can provide you with invaluable resources.

6. Market your business to prospective clients. Every business needs customers to survive. Top priority for any new business is to bring in new clients not only to establish yourself as a business, but also to begin making a profit for your business.

7. Add your own goals to your photography business checklist. Provide specific goals that will help you realize your dream. Add things like ‘quit full time job in October’ to help motivate you to take action on your ideas.

How To Create A Good Business Idea?

The two key ingredients of a successful business are a reasonable business idea and a thorough business plan, which will put the meat on the bones and turn your idea into something concrete and viable.

A wonderful idea is a great start for anyone wanting to start up a company, but it’s just the bare bones and needs to be fleshed out with a detailed and thorough business plan before you start the ball in motion to get the business off the ground. For a start, you’ll need a business plan to make your sales pitch to potential lenders and investors, but you’ll also need it to help you examine the idea in more detail to ascertain whether it will be viable. You need to understand the market and whether people will want to use your service or buy your product. This means doing some market research.

Here are some helpful pointers to assist in your analysis:

Your product or service should have a unique quality that makes it stand out above others.

It has to be something that people want – i.e. there needs to be a demand for it.

Your product or service is most likely to be successful if it plugs a gap in the existing market or if it is vastly better than anything else currently on the market.

Build a profile of your potential customers. Understand who they are and what their needs are.

Think about how you will promote your business and establish and maintain a customer base.

Investigate your potential competitors. Think about their product or service, how it is marketed, what its unique selling points are, how they run their business.

Compare your business to those of your competitors. Consider how you can make yours better or how you can set it apart from the others.

Do some research into the industry. Look at previous history and development, and any significant success stories or failures.

Find out whether there are any laws or restrictions governing the field in which you want to operate and examine how they could affect your business.

Often you can gain a better understanding of something by consulting other people. As the old saying goes, two minds are better than one. Focus groups and brainstorming sessions are frequently used by market research agencies and marketing departments of large companies. It can help to gain several different viewpoints and other people may come up with ideas or problems that you would never think of. Hold group sessions, ask people you know for their opinion, or, if you can afford it, contact a market research agency to help you out.

You’ll also find a great deal of useful information on the web. Companies often have reports and news items on their websites, and sometimes a company history section which can also be useful. News websites are also a good source of information, where you can search the database of old news items.

This analysis will help you to understand the purpose and direction you want for your company. One of the most important elements in a successful business is having a very clear understanding of the company’s vision, i.e. its ultimate objective. Your customers will only understand your business if you do.

As well as establishing whether your company makes good business sense, you’ll also need to ensure that your product or service actually works. A prototype will therefore need to be made and it will need to be tested. This will inevitably cost money. There’s a guide to finding finance for your business in a later article in this series.

Of course, you don’t need to have a fantastically creative idea to set up a company. In fact sometimes it can be much more difficult to establish a company that’s based on a new concept, as there is no previous experience to go by. So setting up in well known territory can provide a great deal more reassurance. However, your company won’t succeed just by being the same as everything that’s gone before it – you still need to find a unique angle to assert the identity of your company and make it better than the rest. Does your product or service have better features or facilities? Is it manufactured to a higher standard? Does it last longer? Is it more reliable? Are you quicker at delivering? Do you provide more flexibility? Don’t rely on price alone for your business model. People don’t always make choices based on what’s cheapest – perceived value for money is usually more important.

If you prefer the security of starting up in an established field, you might want to take this one step further and set up a franchise business or take over a company that’s already up and running. This can provide you with more security and peace of mind, although it does have its pitfalls. In a franchise business, you will be bound by the rules and regulations of the parent company and may not have complete control. You also may not have as great a capacity for making profit. If you’re thinking of buying out a company, you’ll need to do your homework to ensure that it’s a secure proposition. Find out how the business works, who its customers are, why it’s being sold and its history.

Create a Serene Decor in Your Home or Business with Ancient Art Replicas

Whether decorating your home or business, ancient art replicas will bring any room to life. Art replicas are works of art or statues that have been re-created to closely match an original artwork. These might be statues of FooDogs, Christian art wall plaques, or famous paintings. There are statues from Buddhist art, Greek art, and many other themes to create the atmosphere you want.

Complement Your Furnishings and Colors

Ancient art replicas look their best when blended with other decorative items in a room. In your living room, for instance, use replicas of paintings or wall plaques that match or complement your living room furnishings. Lamps, tables, wall colors, and furniture color patterns should be considered. You can fill an empty corner in the room with a lovely statue replica. You can place statues beside a floor lamp or near the edges of furniture pieces. Or, accentuate your fireplace with an ancient art wall plaque of Christian art or Greek art.

In the kitchen, add lively ancient art replicas to match the theme and colors of your kitchen. You can hang wall plaques of ancient art along with kitchen wall plates, clocks, or other decorative wall items. You might also use a small statue replica with some greenery along the tops of your cabinets.

In the bathroom, a small statue replica can be used to decorate a towel shelf, the toilet tank, or a large sink. Ancient art replicas of paintings and wall plaques also make great pieces for bathroom wall decor. Wherever you place your ancient art replicas, be sure to add lamps, mirrors, flowers, wall sconces, and other decorative pieces to draw attention to your works of art. And in any room, statue replicas make terrific doorstops!

Choosing a Decor Theme

Before buying ancient art replicas, it's a good idea to choose one particular theme so your decor will remain similar throughout your home or business. There are many themes from ancient times such as Egyptian art, Christian art, Greek art, and Buddhist art. Each theme will offer a variety of statues, wall plaques, and paintings so you can easily find replicas to match your decor. In Christian art, there are replicas of Byzantine crosses, statues of the Archangels Michael, Gabriel, or Raphael, Celtic crosses, Mother Mary, and many others.

In Buddhist art, you can find unique Buddha statue replicas such as the Head of Buddha, Buddha with 108 Disciples, Buddha Maitreya, and many others. In Classic Greek art, you might want a Greek Sphinx statue, a Greek geometric vase, or a Greek Classic wall plate. Whatever theme you choose, you'll be able to bring that period of time to life in every room with ancient replicas.

Outdoor Decor

Want to add a touch of elegance to your garden, patio, or business entrance? Ancient art replicas of statues might do the trick. You can guard your home or business entrance with ancient Chinese FooDogs or capture scenes from Greek mythology with Greek statue replicas. Statues can be used to decorate walk paths, patios, porches, and flower gardens. They blend wonderfully with garden fountains, shrubs, and birdbaths. You can also use statue replicas to decorate a religious establishment or educational facility. Statues often invoke a sense of stability and strength or deep religious meaning.

Buying Ancient Art Replicas

You can find ancient art replicas in your local area or on the Internet. When shopping online, look for high quality replicas that are handcrafted or hand-painted. Also, check with specialty websites to find specific items to match your decor. With specialty sites, you'll be able to buy Greek art replicas affordably. If you want to buy Buddhist art or Christian art replicas, there are many products to choose from.

How To Create A Marvelous Business Opportunity From An Affiliate Program

If you are creating an affiliate program to improve the performance of your company in the Internet, you have to make sure that you’re offering your future affiliates the best tools to make their jobs easier. If you want to make your affiliate program into a business opportunity, you need to concentrate first on giving your affiliates the opportunity to earn as well.

How to Create a Marvelous Business Opportunity from an Affiliate Program

The most important thing to remember when managing affiliate programs is that its success will largely depend on how well your affiliates will perform. You can increase the chances that they’ll perform better by making their jobs as easy as possible.

The Proper Way to Make Banners – These are the most eye-catching of all types of advertisements, but they can also be quite troublesome. Customers might be turned off at the amount of time required for downloading large banners in websites. While it won’t hurt to host and offer a few large banners for those inclined to use them, it’s better if you offer a greater selection of smaller banners for your affiliates. Compensate for the minimal size of your banners by making them as visually attractive as possible. Play with colors and choose words and graphics carefully.

The Proper Way to Write Text Ads – Many affiliates prefer to host text ads of merchant websites because they use up lesser space and bandwidth without sacrificing effectiveness. When creating text ads for your affiliates, always make sure that they are short but detailed – they must clearly sum up the important benefits your products or services are offering. They must also have a catchy title – one that grabs the attention of the reader right away.

Secondly, and in the odd chance that your affiliate might prefer to create his own text ad regarding your products and services, make sure that your program offers writing tips and suggestions to help them in this endeavor.

Why Pop Ups and Pop Unders aren’t Cool – They used to be an entertaining novelty but not anymore. Nowadays, most people consider this type of advertisement – especially pop ups – as an online nuisance because they keep appearing when they’re not needed. As much as possible, avoid offering affiliates pop ups because they might just work to your disadvantage. If necessary, offer them pop unders instead.

Etiquette for Email Advertising – Sending marketing newsletters through email is always an excellent strategy because it allows you one-on-one time with your reader to talk about your company’s products and services. Many people, however, have abused this opportunity by sending SPAM. In spite of its reduced credibility however, most consumers are still willing to give email marketing a chance…but just once, and if you still blow it off then you’ll have to suffer the consequences for eternity…or until you get a new and valid email address, that is.

It’s important to brief your affiliates on the dos and don’ts for email marketing. The first rule that they mustn’t ever breach is the frequency of sending emails. Naturally, they shouldn’t flood a person’s inbox with the same email over and over. Secondly, they must always offer the reader a choice to not receive emails anymore by automatically taking off their names from the list. Thirdly, they must focus on keeping the content of their email as short as possible while managing to sound interesting at the same time.

Always remind your affiliates to end their letters with a call for definite action.

Regular Meetings – Hold regular meetings with your affiliates. Meetings must be done in both group and individual basis so that they can benefit from interactive learning as well as individual consultation. While you may not be their employer, you are still the person they’re looking up to for advice and support and it’s important that you give them these as much and as often as you can.

Pay Them Right – Lastly, as this is essentially a business opportunity for you and your affiliates, money is the tie that binds both of you together. If you want them to display a stellar performance, make sure that you show them why they have to. Pay them the rates they deserve and equally importantly as well, pay them on time.

How To Create a Web Based Business - Part 3 of 5

You are most likely coming here as a follow up to my Part 2 of 5 article on creating an online business. I hope you found part (1) one and part (2) informative.

Today I'm going to talk about selecting a web site host. What is a web site host? Well that is where your finished web pages will reside so that when someone types in www.yourwebsite.xxx they will actually see your web page displayed on their screen. They will be actually pulling the web page up from your hosts, which is a company that will store a copy of your web page on their site. When you acquire the name for your website it will more than likely be through them.

Let's talk a minute about your web site name. I recommend that is be something that makes coincides with the type of product or service your visitor is looking for. It reaffirms them that they are at the right site for what they need. I hope that makes sense. Feel free to take a look at mine as an example of what I'm talking about.

Now back to the hosts. What do you want in a host? Well here a few things I look for:

* Good track record with current users in regards to uptime.

* Good Track record for customer support.

* Reasonable pricing for the amount of bandwidth you get, (min 500GB)

* 24 hour support

* Step-by-step guidance if required

* The ability to put a blog on your site is a plus

* FREE domain name included with them doing all the setup work

* Ability to have multiple email addresses

* FREE advertising credits are another plus.

I think if you find the above items in a host you are off to a good start. The cost per year is currently under a $100.00 a year. My host is currently running year-end special for only $4.95 a month. There are good deals to be found. A great deal for new subscribers. The most important thing is that they practically no down time. You need you page to load fast when a customer wants to visit.

This is an important step to your success, because if people can't get to your site and get there quickly you are not going to make any money. You don't have to spend a lot of money, but you do not want to go with the most inexpensive host you can find. If you site comes up quickly, presents itself well and you take your potential customer to exactly what they are looking for you will have a much higher chance for success. We will talk more about the importance of having the right keyword, landing page and affiliate programs on your site. It took me awhile to understand how much of a impact these seemingly small things can have on your conversion rate.

Well that's it for this time.

See you in Part (4) four.

Please feel free to read both this article or one of my many others by visiting my link in the resource box below. I always enjoy getting emails pertaining to my articles or my site. Your feedback is important to me.

Create The Business Tools Of Tomorrow With A Computer Programming Degree

A computer programming degree will allow you to couple your technical knowledge with your natural analytical ability to create unique and dynamic solutions for businesses. By designing and then creating software solutions, you will find that career doors will swing wide open for you. The demand for quality programmers who have the ability to accurately assess their client's needs is going to continue to increase, as more businesses require their own unique software solutions to run their businesses efficiently.

One opportunity that stands out as an ideal place for a computer programming degree is the development department of a large corporation. The needs of many large companies have become so unique that they require specialized software to meet their specific demands. A degree in computer programming will help you become a valuable asset for these types of companies as they seek to solve their software needs in-house instead of outsourcing them to software development companies. Whether it is for confidentiality reasons, or to keep a leg up on their competitors, they find a tremendous amount of value in keeping their own programmers on staff.

Another avenue that one could pursue with a computer programming degree is freelance work. With this type of career you will be hired by companies on a project-by-project basis to meet specific programming needs. Many people who graduate with a computer programming degree find productive and satisfying careers working for software developers. These companies gather work from other companies that have software needs, but who don't have the resources to meet those needs on their own. The software development companies work with their clients to determine what their specific needs are and then work together to find software solutions that will meet those needs. When you work for a developer you will find that you gain experience in a lot of different industries because each client's needs are unique. This job calls for you to be a good analyst as well as a competent programmer. Companies that choose to outsource their software needs are usually looking for consultation as well.

As you consider your career choices and try to decide which degree program will give you the most options, keep in mind the tremendous demand that already exists for qualified programmers. Tackle this degree program with the confidence that comes from knowing that you are entering an industry with unlimited growth potential and one that is more in demand every day. The hardest part of putting your computer programming degree to use won't be finding open doors, it will be deciding which one to walk through.

Create FUN in your Business – as if you were a KID!

Marketing On The Playground (TM)

My business is created around fun and yet I didn't realize that I was still holding back. I wasn't paying attention to those inner messages saying,"... really create this the way you want it," because I thought that's what I had done.

I finally GOT IT one day after I figured out how to market my business and have FUN at the same time. Here is an example from one part of my business. See if this rings true for you.

After creating my first exciting marketing program new ideas began springing up. I told a friend, I wanted to create additional "fun" programs but kept getting stuck. She said, "You like brainstorming, it's part of everything you do, create a single program around that." So I did. I thoroughly enjoy having brainstorming groups, and have received some great results and feedback, but after a while I felt like something was missing -- something I was ignoring. I discovered what I really wanted to do was take this monthly program and turn it into not just a quarterly program, but an EVENT! Each event had to have an environment that really meant something to me. It might have been something I enjoyed as a kid or now as an adult.

What happens when you start paying attention to those wonderful times in your past or what you really enjoy today and integrate them into your business? You create magnificent, FUN, inviting programs. If you've been following your business path, doing what you love, how can it get any better? By looking deeper inside and paying attention to those inner messages.

You begin like this. Simply start writing down those experiences or environments that bring warmth, giggles or excitement to your heart from childhood to now. Think back to what you really enjoyed as a kid. Maybe it was books, a love for animals, or those magnificent salt-water fish in your aquarium. What puts that smile on your face when you think of something you have enjoyed from your past or in the present? How exciting would it be to combine that special environment with a program you created?

Here are a few examples.

Things I enjoyed as a kid: boating, riding the train to my grandparents Things I enjoy now: hot tea in the afternoon, high tea, and a cabin in the woods

One of my programs is now integrating all of these things with separate events. One event will take to the rails on a train similar to the one I rode to my grandparent's house when I was a child. It will also be in my favorite time of year. I'm so excited I can barely stay focused on my daily routine and my energy feels like a giddy kid. Another event will combine with an afternoon tea.

Here's a bonus. By offering what you enjoy -- it becomes your BRAND. Do I want to be known as the Chief Executive Kid of business and marketing fun? YOU BET! How do you want to be known?

Business Gift Certificates - How To Create Your Own

You started your own business. You read that smart business owners offer gift certificates. You know from experience that you appreciate gift certificates. Now you're wondering how to create your own gift certificates.

No matter what your business is, you can create your own gift certificates, with real value, and encourage your clients to buy and use them as gifts.

These 30 templates offer all-purpose as well as specific occasion gift certificates. Select a line of text, and customize your small business gift certificates.

In PhotoShop, under "File" click on "new" and enter the dimensions of your gift certificate. A common size is about 3.5" height by 7" width. Leave a margin of at least 0.25" on all sides. Color blocks are good, and can be added to your gift certificate easily in this program. Make it clear in writing that this is a gift certificate. Add your business name and address. Type the word "Number" with a line or box in which the number can be entered. Indicate that "This certificate entitles (space for a name) to (space for your offer)" or type the exact offer. You will also want a line that tells the recipient that the gift certificate is not redeemable for cash, and that its redemption value does not exceed a given amount. Provide authorization and expiration spaces, and print.

4. PageMaker: For clearer type, you may want to design the graphics of your small business gift certificates in a program such as Adobe PhotoShop, and then import those into PageMaker. Add the copy in PageMaker and print. You can line up 3 on a page by copy/pasting your gift certificates.

A Business Website That You Can Create Yourself

There are many important parts to a business, and something that is very important is being able to be seen online. If you have a small local business you might not consider your website the most important aspect, but if you have a business that has any other customers other than people who live in your town, you want to concentrate on creating the best website that you can.

And there is hardly any reason that you shouldn't have a website. If you run a small business that only relies on local services, such as cutting hair or babysitting children, you might not use your website to attract other business. But you might. Nearly everyone who is going to be looking for your type of service, whether in your home town or not, is going to have access to the internet and is going to want to look you up. No matter what you are doing, you need your own website.

However, this doesn't mean that you need to spend a lot of money having it designed for you by a big name company. There are many programs that will allow you to design your own website, no matter what your skill level online is going to be.

These are all things that you should consider. The first step in having your own website is to take the time to purchase a domain that you can use and one that will work for you. Remember that this doesn't need to be something fancy, but it also should be something that is easy to remember, and easy to market. Next, you have to make sure that you have a program that you can use to design the website. There are many programs, depending on what type of computer and operating system you use, which will allow you to create simply websites very easily. Most of them will even allow you to do this without the use of HTML. That means that if you can type in a document, you can use the program.

The main thing that you should think about when you are designing your own website is that you want it to be easy to read, to be understandable, and to be very clear in your mission statement. It doesn’t matter if you don' t have the most fancy website in the world, because the most important part is going to be that you are able to get customers through it. Be sure that you are following all of these steps and you will be able to greatly benefit from designing your own websites. Don't worry if you don’t' have the most fancy website. Make sure that you are clear and concise, and that your mission statement is right there for everyone to read. This is the most important thing that you can do.

Business Is So Slow - How Do I Create More Sales?

When business is slow it's time to make some more sales. One of the easiest ways to do this is to get existing customers to buy more from you. The expense of picking up a new customer far out way the costs of getting a "second sell" from an existing customer.

It is funny how much effort businesses put into getting new customers and then forget to follow through.

Gather information and build a database of your existing customers. The way your business handles data will make the difference between being a top performer in your niche and just getting by. You should be able to search and find information within seconds about every aspect of your customer base.

Research your existing customers. Do you know their latest plans? Do you know all their buyers? Do you know who else they buy from? Is the owner of the business getting close to retirement? Is the business up for sale? Is the business in trouble? Is the business expanding? If so, which territory are they expanding into?

Successful businesses understand their customer's fears and desires. They regularly ask questions. Know thy customer and you will stand a better chance of getting the next order.

Follow through by keeping touch regularly with every business that has bought from you in the past. Regular visits, the occasional email and posting your latest brochure, product offering or special offer will all help you to keep the customer informed. Never ever stop the lines of communication after the initial sale even if the customer buys elsewhere next time.

After the "second sale" ask for referrals. If the customer has bought from you twice then they must be satisfied with your service and your products.

Reward loyal customers with regular special offers and seasonal gifts. All buyers like to feel special and a small inexpensive gift will really help to cement the relationship. Offer add-ons like extended warranties & better quality products. Would you like fries with that burger?

Get personal with your top customers. Have they been to your house? Have they met your family? Have you met theirs? Have you played any games with them? Wine and dine with your top customers and satiate their appetite.

Offer a discount if the customer buys more than his regular requirement. Do you think it is a good idea to let your customers share the burden of storage, especially of bulky products? Let your customers know about your dead stock. Shift it, even if you make a loss. Eventually old stock will decay and become worthless anyway. Storing dead stock over time kills your bottom line.

Measure your results. Who is the most profitable sales representative? Who is your best customer? Which advertising campaign really worked well for you? What made it different from all the other campaigns? Which products make you the most money?

It's really simple isn't it? No earth shattering guidelines above.

Businesses that miss out even one component from the above will pay the price when their competitor overtakes them. On the other hand, businesses that have a plan to keep existing customers buying more will reap the rewards as word of mouth gets around that they really do care.

Because listeners subscribe to podcasts, they have chosen to receive your content. They have already shown interest in your message by subscribing. In addition, a podcast does not get lost in SPAM like with e-mail. You can be sure your message is reaching a focused audience.

This means your content automatically reaches your audience without any barriers increasing the efficiency and ease of delivering your message.

Because your podcast is delivered over the internet, it's a very inexpensive means of communication.
